Marimba Melodies

With Dylan Tabisher (marimba)

In Marimba Melodies, SAMRO Award-winning artist Dylan Tabisher reflects on his journey as marimba player, which started in 2006. This journey lead him to Tokyo at the end of 2017, where he studied with Keiko Abe for three months. Tabisher begins this programme with Michi (meaning path or way in Japanese), one of Abe’s most famous compositions, and the first serious marimba work Tabisher learned as an aspiring musician. This is followed by some of his favourite compositions by J.S. Bach, Evelyn Glennie, Nebojsa Zivkovic and Astor Piazzolla.
